Not an artist and my drawings are kinda crap and messy...but that's ok
I'm definitely not an artist of the sketching and drawing kind. When I did art at school, I studied it one year too long. That was a bit awkward. I was out of my depth. Turns out that drawing giant robots, monsters, and spaceships doesn’t get you good marks. They get you embarrassment in front of classmates.
Anyway, I'm older now and long ago accepted that I'm crap at drawing. I can make good photos, so I figure I must have something to say visually. Holding a camera is a lot easier than drawing a straight line though.
Writing my own RPG stuff for tabletop play has given me an excuse to start drawing again. It isn't good. It's pretty shit. It's messy and luck-based really. But sometimes, I draw something I don’t mind.
That guy is a Jungle Basilisk. I like how it looks - a bit goofy really. It's the best I have in me, which is ok because at least it comes from me. I'll come up with D&D monster stats for it one day.
