I made a new Pixelfed account
I've been thinking of where I can post my very incredibly amateur drawings and decided to open a new Pixelfed account. Not sure how long it will last.
It's great to support big platform alternatives but I must admit to getting tired of the whole process. Why do it? Why bother? Am I only going to be motivated to post for engagement? It's as though years of toxic social media engineering has caused too much damage to reverse.
I remember connecting to a local BBS in the mid 1980s. The novelty of exchanging messages with someone in the next suburb seemed quite magical. Being connected now just feels exhausting.
