I finally moved from Wordpress to Pika Blog
I finally moved all of my posts and photos from WordPress to Pika Blog - 150 posts in total, and nearly 500 photos. It took some time, but all posts are published. As laborious as it was, the process also gave me the chance to relive old posts, old photos, and fix some typos. The site is here if you're interested: The Rusty Ruin Journal
The benefits? Not only have I now escaped the relentless bloat of WordPress, I have also escaped their insistence on adding more and more ai crap to the platform. It was beginning to feel like a cemetery for personal bloggers and people uninterested in monetising the latest self-help slop that Buddhists have known about for centuries.
The move also gives me full control over my content. I can export it when I want in a human-readable format. And I can do that without installing a plugin or messing with awful XML files.

All words and photos by me - a human. Not by ai.
